Remarks (opinion and modifications): This Porsche 356 is among the very first Speedsters built within the 1954 production run of 200 cars. With its racing lineage traced back to its glory days, when Skip Hudson raced it, this Speedster is as much historic as it is beautiful. It is a Porsche that performs as well as it looks while proudly displaying the history and heritage of the Porsche 356. It has participated in numerous important concourse events, and featured in various historical articles such as the 2007 issue of Excellence magazine, but perhaps the crowning achievement in this car’s remarkable history was its presentation at the 2006 Pebble Beach Concours d Elegance where it was displayed with several other vintage race cars. Indeed, this vintage racer had come full circle. As one of the cars that started it all, it was displayed in all of its pristince elegance. Since its restoration it has been maintained by its previous owners to the highest of standards with no expense spared at any time. Included with the Speedster is the original owner’s manual, jack, side curtains and tool kit. The car rides on 16 inch date-stamped wheels, which are original to the car. An impressive file documenting the Speedster’s fascinating history accompanies the car.
